Spa Terms and Conditions The Lakeview Spa at the Beech Hill Hotel

At the Lakeview Spa your health and wellbeing is our primary concern, therefore if you are currently pregnant, have any allergens, have a heart disorder, have a diagnosed medical condition or are taking any prescribed drugs, please let us know in advance.

Opening and closing times

  • Open 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm

How to book

  • Spa treatments are available to book online through the hotels website.

Treatment, spa days and spa breaks

  • All treatments are subject to availability
  • Please note that spa day/break treatment times are subject to change and, should this be necessary, they will be confirmed to you on arrival at the spa
  • The spa reserves the right to alter your treatment times on the day if necessary
  • Please note that treatment time includes medical consultation, set up and your chosen treatment
  • All treatment re-arrangements will be subject to alternative availability
  • Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to undergo any type of treatments in the spa
  • We request that mobile phones are kept on silent or switched off in the spa
  • No photography is permitted in the changing areas and/or on poolside
  • You may be required to remove jewellery for treatments; we therefore advise that you choose to leave jewellery at home
  • The Lakeview Spa will not be liable, under any circumstances whatsoever, for damage, injury or consequential loss, however caused, to our customers, their property and belongings unless it is solely due to the negligence of the Lakeview Spa, its employees or agents
  • Offers cannot be used in conjunction with one another and are subject to availability

Method of payment

  • Fees are inclusive of VAT 
  • We accept all major credit cards through our online payment gateway
  • Gift vouchers must be redeemed prior to treatment
  • We apologise that we are currently unable to take gift vouchers as a method of payment for an on-line booking.

Spa treatment payment

  • Full pre-payment is required for all individual treatments

Spa treatment cancellation

  • We require 7 days’ notice of a cancellation after which a 100% charge will be made
  • We advise guests to consider insurance to cover the cancellation of their spa treatment
  • No refund will be payable for non-arrival for a treatment without the stipulated notice
  • Refunds will be processed to paypal or debit/credit/charge card used to secure the treatment within five working days of the request being made.
  • Refunds will be paid net of any processing fees raised by paypal or debit/credit/charge card companies.

Spa day payment

  • Full pre-payment is required at time of booking

Spa day cancellation

  • We advise guests to consider insurance to cover the cancellation of their spa break.

Your therapists

  • You will be in the skillful care of therapists who believe in the philosophy of combining the very best of ancient and modern therapies with the finest quality ingredients for skin care.

Upgrades and additional treatments

  • If you wish to book any additional treatments for your day, to avoid disappointment we suggest you book these prior to arrival

Health check

  • If you or any member of your spa party are currently pregnant, suffer from a medical condition, a heart disorder, or are taking any prescribed drugs please let us know prior to your day as this may affect your choice of treatments.
  • You will be asked to complete a medical consultation/personal details form during the online booking check out process. This information will be provided to your therapist. You certify that the medical, personal and skin history statements are true and correct.
  • You also accept that any treatment is taken at your own risk. You understand that failure to disclose information requested may result in adverse side effects, unknown because of this to which you accept full liability/responsibility. You are aware that it is your responsibility to inform the therapist of your current and ongoing medical or health conditions and it is essential for the therapist to execute appropriate treatment procedures. 
  • Please note guests suffering from any heart conditions or high blood pressure will be unable to use any of our heat experiences.
  • Please note before any tinting treatments can be undertaken a skin patch test must be completed 48 hours prior to treatment.

Pregnancy

  • Please note that we do not offer face or body treatments for ladies who are 1-13 weeks pregnant
  • From 13 weeks we offer a range of specialised luxury pregnancy treatments
  • If you need any further guidance please ask any member of the spa team
  • Pregnant ladies are strongly advised against the use of any heat and or hydrotherapy facilities.

Lakeview Spa facilities

  • During your day you are welcome to enjoy the Lakeview Spa facilities. 
  • Please note that beds in the spa cannot be reserved and are on a first come basis

Late arrival

  • Regrettably late arrival for your appointment will constitute a reduced treatment time
  • In some circumstances we may be able to re-schedule your treatment time if you are late however this often is not possible due to the busy nature of the spa and the availability of therapists

What to bring

  • If you would like to make use of all of the facilities, please pack your swim wear.
  • If you have selected to have a pedicure treatment we advise you pack open toe shoes
  • We would request that all mobile phones, pagers, etc..  are switched off during your visit.
  • We are happy to relay any messages via the spa reception

Towels, bath robes & slippers

  • A towel, and bath robe will be provided for you on arrival to the spa for your personal use throughout your day.
  • We ask you return your robe and towel to the spa reception on departure.

Retail gifts

  • Our spa stocks a full range of retail products to allow you to continue your spa experience at home
  • Your therapist and spa host will be delighted to offer assistance should you require any skincare advice or to purchase any products

Gift vouchers

  • If you would like to treat friends or family to a similar day of pampering, monetary or package gift vouchers are available to purchase from the Hotel’s website.
  • Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months 

Force Majeure

  • In this condition "Force Majeure Event" means any circumstance beyond the control of the Hotel including, but not limited to acts of God, fire, explosion, adverse weather conditions, flood, earthquake, terrorism, riot, civil commotion, war, hostilities, strikes, work stoppages, slowdowns or other industrial disputes, accidents, riots or civil disturbances, acts of government, lack of power and delays by suppliers or materials shortages .
  • If the Hotel is prevented, hindered or delayed from performing the Services by a Force Majeure Event the Hotel may, at its sole option, and without being liable for any loss or damage suffered by the Guest as a result:
  • suspend performance while the Force Majeure Event continues; and/or
  • terminate any contract between the Hotel and the Guest forthwith by giving notice to the Guest.

Privacy 

  • The Hotel complies with all applicable data protection laws. We reserve the right to use details that you have provided to us as set out in our Privacy Policy, as varied from time to time.
  • Unless otherwise indicated when providing your Personal Data, you expressly agree that we may use information about you obtained by us under this Agreement for the purpose of sending postal, email or sms communications to you including: news, information, events, offers, prize draw details. There will always be an option to unsubscribe from such communications at any time. Either via the communications you receive or our Data Preference Centre.
