1. Introduction & Definitions
1.1 These terms and conditions form part of the agreement between you and Beech Hill Hotel Limited. For your membership and use of the Lakeview Spa.
1.2 In these terms and conditions, the word ‘including’ and the term ‘such as’ and any similar expression shall be construed as illustrative and shall not limit the sense of the following words.
1.3 Anytime memberships allows access to the Lakeview Spa between 9am to 8pm GMT
1.4 Mid-Week memberships allows access to the Lakeview Spa Monday to Friday (inclusive) between 9am to 8pm GMT
1.5 Adult member is person who is aged 16 years or more
1.6 Junior member is a person who is aged 4 years or more but less than 16 years
1.7 WebSite refers to www.beechhillhotel.co.uk
2. Duration of your agreement
2.1 Your agreement will run from the date of first payment and will continue until terminated by either of us in accordance with the terms set out in this document.
3. Membership Fees
3.1 You have agreed to pay the monthly or annual membership fees shown on our WebSite for the type of membership you have chosen. Details of the various types of membership appear in condition 4 below. You were given the option of electing to pay monthly or annually.
3.2 On joining for the first, or any subsequent, time you are also required to pay the joining fee. Details of the joining fee are shown on our WebSite.
3.3 Payment of fees may only be made through the payment gateway on our WebSite this ensures that our register of members, contact details etc… is maintained and accurate at all times.
3.4 Our membership fees are reviewed annually and details of revised fees will be displayed and written notice given at least 14 days prior to any changes taking effect.
4. Membership categories and entitlements
4.1 As you will see from our WebSite, we offer different categories of membership. Currently, these are:
4.1.1 Anytime Single – this is full adult membership for one adult;
4.1.2 Anytime Junior – this is full junior membership for one junior;
4.1.3 Anytime Family – this is full family membership for two adults & two juniors;
4.1.4 Mid Week Single – this is mid-week adult membership for one adult;
4.1.5 Mid Week Junior – this is mid-week junior membership for one junior;
4.1.6 Mid Week Family – this is mid-week family membership for two adults & two juniors
4.1.7 The above memberships (4.1.1 to 4.1.6) can be offered on a monthly or annual basis
4.2 You must advise us immediately if your circumstances change and you cease to be eligible for any of these categories of membership or the concessions.
4.3 Your membership entitles you to use our leisure facilities including swimming pool, spa pool, Himalayan sauna and aroma steam room. For Spa Treatments there will be an extra charge. Details of these treatments and charges are available on our WebSite.
4.4 We reserve the right to change our membership categories from time to time.
5. Payment options
5.1 If you choose to pay your membership fees monthly, then you will be agreeing to remain a member and pay the monthly membership fees for at least 1 calendar month. Recurring payments will then be taken at monthly intervals on the anniversary of your initial payment from the account your initial payment was made.
5.2 If you choose to pay your membership fees annually, then you are taking advantage of the discount we offer for early payment and will be agreeing to remain a member for 12 months, membership will run from the date of first payment.
6. Non payment of fees
6.1 If for any reason you fail to pay your membership fees when they are due then:
6.2 You will not be allowed entry to any of our facilities until any arrears fees have been paid, but you will remain liable to pay membership fees until the end of the period to which you have committed to pay them.
7. Inability to use facilities
7.1 If for any period of more than one month you are unable to use our facilities because of pregnancy, illness or incapacity then please speak to us and we may at our discretion agree to suspend the membership fees until you are able to start using the facilities again.
8.1 You may cancel your membership by giving us notice in writing to that effect delivered to us at the Hotel:
8.1.1 At any time after the expiry of 1 calendar months from the date you became a member if you have chosen to pay your membership fee monthly; or
8.1.2 At any time after the expiry of 12 calendar months from the date you became a member if you have chosen to pay your membership fee annually.
8.2 We may cancel your membership at any time:
8.2.1 Without reason by giving you one months notice in writing. If we cancel your membership on this basis, we will refund any fees that you have paid in relation to the period after expiry of the cancellation notice;
8.2.2 By giving you immediate notice in writing if:
126.96.36.199 you seriously or repeatedly break the conditions of your membership as set out in our agreement (which includes these terms and conditions);
188.8.131.52 you allow someone else to use your membership to gain, or attempt to gain, access to the Lakeview Spa;
184.108.40.206 your behaviour is unacceptable to us, for instance if you use offensive or abusive language or are offensive or abusive to any of our employees, members or others or put any of them at risk;
220.127.116.11 you damage any of our equipment or facilities or fail, or refuse, to follow any instructions given as to their safe and proper use;
18.104.22.168 you fail to pay your membership fees when due;
8.3 If we cancel your membership under condition 22.214.171.124 to 126.96.36.199 (inclusive), we will not allow you to re-join.
9. Circumstances beyond our control
9.1 If as a result of circumstances beyond our control (such as flooding, damage to buildings, equipment, staff sickness, government requirements epidemics, strikes, safety, safeguarding or security reasons) we are unable to operate The Lakeview Spa either partly or fully, we may refuse or be unable to allow you access. If this continues for more than one week, then we will refund a proportionate part of your membership fee for the period during which you are not allowed you access The Lakeview Spa.
10.1 If we carry out any health assessments, we may identify possible problems or risks and recommend that you seek medical advice before continuing or taking exercise. We will not be liable or responsible if you fail to take such advice or ignore it or our recommendations. In any event you should consult your general medical practitioner and/or specialist medical consultants before you start any exercise program or class and we cannot accept any liability for the consequences of you failing to do so.
10.2 We cannot accept liability for any loss of, or damage to, any of your personal effects (including valuables, vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles). It is your responsibility to keep these safe and secure.
11.2 Any clinical or medical information that you disclose to us will be kept confidential but will be made available to those involved with your programmes and activities. By becoming a member, you consent to us sharing such information with our employees and directors.
11.3 Unless otherwise indicated when providing your personal data, you expressly agree that we may use information about you obtained by us under this Agreement for the purpose of sending postal, email or sms communications to you including: news, information, events, offers, prize draw details. There will always be an option to unsubscribe from such communications at any time. Either via the communications you receive or our Data Preference Centre.
12. Membership Cards/Keyfobs
12.1 You will be issued with a membership card/Keyfob, which you must bring with you to gain entry to Lakeview Spa. If you lose your membership card/Keyfob we will charge a fee (currently £10) for a replacement.
12.2 Membership and the membership card/Keyfob are personal to you and you must not allow anyone else to use your membership card/Keyfob.
12.3 You must sign the card immediately to confirm this is a live membership.
12.4 We will refuse to allow you to enter Lakeview Spa if you do not have a valid and current membership card/Keyfob with you.
13. Contact details
13.1 You must advise us of any changes in your address or other contact details so that we can communicate with you when required.
