The Beech Hill Hotel & Spa – Vegetarian Food in The Lakes by Emma Phillips
The Beech Hill Hotel is a 4 star hotel overlooking picturesque Windermere in Cumbria. On the shores of one of the Lake District`s most beautiful locations, it is a feast for the eyes and the tummy. With 57 bedrooms and a luxury family-friendly spa to relax in, Beech Hill is the ultimate place to get away from it all. All rooms have a standard en-suite bathroom and all the usual amenities. There’s also on-site parking, which is handy when travelling with a baby. We were allocated a Lake View room, and once unpacked we watched the autumn sky turn pink from the comfort of our bay window.
We were invited to the hotel to try out Burlington’s – their in-house restaurant – on an evening where a Masquerade Ball was arranged. Because we were dining with Dinky we didn’t get involved in the festivities, although we enjoyed seeing other residents dressed up for Halloween. Welcomed with canapés and a drink, we were given the special Vegetarian and Vegan menus that the team have devised especially for those staying at the hotel with dietary requirements...
