Christmas in the UK would not be complete these days without a lengthy run-up involving rows of sweet smelling German market stalls. Scenic Windermere is no different and the town is also getting in on the craze. This year it is hosting a brand new German Christmas Market on the 10th & the 11th of December. The event will feature all the usual great tasting snacks and beverages, such as mulled wine and bratwurst, plus some fantastic stalls selling seasonal gifts such as handmade bath bombs and Christmas Tree decorations.
These markets are such a great family day out and are a sure-fired way to get you in the festive mood. The event will also feature live music right then and there in the market area, which is not to be missed. In addition there will be an appearance from Santa and his reindeers, which will no doubt keep your little ones entertained. The market is in a great location for moving onto other pubs and restaurants as the night unfolds.
The market will run from 9am to 5pm and is free. Don’t miss out!
