Not renowned for being the contemporary musical capital of the north, nonetheless Carlisle has more than a few hidden gems up its sleeve. Valentine Weekender held at The Brickyard, the legendary Carlisle independent live music venue, is exactly that. Held over the 12th & 13th of February, Valentine Weekender has been nominated for Best Independent Festival at the TBFM Music Industry Awards.

Now in it’s fourth year early band announcements include; Confess (Sweden), Heartbreak Remedy, SKAM#, Staring Out The Sun, New Generation Superstars The King Lot, Rusted Hero, Splintered Halo, Bulletproof Rose, Bigfoot, Thirteen Stars, The Senton Bombs, Black Nevada, Mothertone, Secret Rule (Italy).
The Brickyard is a great little venue, just off Castle Way on Fisher Street.
Doors open at 7pm Friday, 2pm – 5pm and the Saturday acoustic session starts at 7pm Saturday evening.
