Trust 10 Run

Trust 10 Run at Claife Viewing Station. The Lakes are a brilliant place to go for a run. Whether you are new to the sport or just want to get fit, running or jogging in these pleasant lands is both refreshing and motivating. It wasn’t going to be long before this area became hallowed turf for runners and already organised runs are springing up all over the region. One which is great for blasting away the cobwebs and breathing in the gorgeous scenery, is the Trust 10 run at Claife Viewing Station, in Ambleside.

On the fourth Sunday of every month, there is a free 10k trail run setting off at 9am from Claife Viewing Station courtyard. Registration must be completed by 08:30am.  There is no pressure to sign-up in advance and participants can register on the day, depending on how they feel when they wake up. The run takes in some of the most breath-taking views in the Lake District and as runs go, could not be more worthwhile.

The organisers do not have timing devices at present, so if you are looking to record a personal best you will need to come ready to do this yourself. Once the run is done, reward yourself in the Courtyard Café at Claife Viewing Station with some tasty local cakes. Don’t forget to hydrate too! For more information visit the Trust10 webpages.
