Carlisle’s Tales of Christmas Past tours at Carlisle City Centre. This is a great Christmas event for all the family, taking place in Carlisle City Centre, from the 3rd of December until Christmas Eve itself. The event is held by one chief storyteller, who will take the audience through the history of Christmas in Carlisle. Tales include the days of medieval banquets, traditions of the past such as the particular religious rituals carried out in the town throughout its history. Christmas in days gone by was celebrated in a fascinating way and these tours allow you to step into the past and immerse yourself in yuletides gone.
The tour sets off from the red post box outside the Old Town Hall, on the following dates:

The tour is priced at £6 for adults, £4 for children and is free for the under 4s. Families cost £15.
