Carlisle’s hotly awaited Spring Fayre event is back for another year, offering family fun and community led activities. The event will be held between Saturday the 30th of April and Monday the 2nd of May, outside the Old Town Hall in Carlisle’s city centre.
The free event is jointly hosted by local enterprises and Carlisle City council, and it aims to celebrate all that is unique and dynamic about the local community, with a view to attracting new business to the area.
The family activities will be held between 11am and 5pm on Saturday the 30th of April and 11am and 4pm on Sunday the 1st and Monday the 2nd of May and will include; face painting, food and drink stalls and balloon art. There will be up to 30 street traders there on the day, in what will be a huge open air space.
There will also be street entertainers and theatre performers there, to bring a mix of colour and entertainment to proceedings. On Saturday the 30th, attendees can look forward to seeing musical acts such as the Blue Belles, Strolling Gardeners and Greenfinger Folks. Then on the Sunday entertainment comes in the form of Dinotopia and Flying Dodos. Finally on Monday entertainment comes from Grow Your Own and The Dinner Ladies.
This is a great local event and a fabulous way to engage with the spirit of the city of Carlisle.
