This is a great new music festival on 23 July 2016 situated in the gorgeous Western Lake District. Rock the fells is bringing musical festivities to this part of the Lakes for the first time. With a diverse and exciting line-up of new and established bands, Rock the Fells has a lot going on. There is even some improv and more interpretative acts to satisfy those with quirkier tastes. There is great food and beer served all day at the festival bar, to keep things ticking over.
The great thing about this festival is the emphasis on audience participation, with many bands bringing members of the public up on stage with them. Rock the Fells is a great place to bring the family, with creative work shops for kids run all day. There is even a creche on site should you want to drop the little ones off for the day.
Rock The Fells is a charitable event raising money for a worthy campaign- Fighting Fitz. In 2015 Danielle Fitzsimons was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33 years old.
