With Christmas just around the corner, this is a great little activity for all the family and a chance for the kids to really get into the festive spirit. Running from the 23rd of November, through to the 21st of December, the event is held at The Rheged Centre in Redhills, Penrith.
The centre has set up a special little post box on site for kids to post their letters to Santa through. What’s special about this post box is that children will receive a touching response from old St Nic himself, adding to the magic of the experience. The post box is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and is free to use.
If you can, try and schedule your visit to the postbox in tandem with a trip to Santa’s Magical Gingerbread Cottage. This is a great little kid-friendly set-up, where children are invited to enter into Santa’s magical candy cane forest and hang their wishes on a tree.
Kids will receive a gift and a 4×6 photograph of themselves and Santa. Tickets are priced at £10 per child and you must book in advance online, as slots are limited. The cottage is only open on weekends, from now until Sunday the 23rd of December and also Friday the 21st of December and Monday the 24th of December.
