One for your diaries, is Northern Spirit festival, part of Kendal Food Festival; a celebration of what this region has to offer in terms of all things gin and vodka. This is a must-attend festival for all fans of local tipples. There is even the added bonus of sampling some delicacies from further afield through the range of excellent Scottish whiskies on show.
Bask in the warm atmosphere, whilst sampling the drinks on offer at the Northern Bar. Then when hunger hits, tuck in to the taster platter of local delicacies at the Food Festival’s renowned North Country Market.
If you’ve always wanted to learn about the distilling process and get to grips with how these beverages are created, there is even tutored tastings and classes available on site.
Whether you are a connoisseur of a particular liquor or just want to learn a little more about a certain drink, this is the festival for you. The staff are friendly and pleasant and the festival itself offers a relaxed atmosphere.
The festival takes place on Saturday the 12th of March from 7:30 to 11:30 in the evening, at Booths Cafe, Wainwright’s Yard, Kendal .Tickets are £20 per person, which includes food, live music, drink sales and a choice of talks and classes.
