Keswick Film Festival

Keswick Film Festival at Theatre by the Lake 25 - 26 February 2016. For all you film buffs this month, here’s a taste of Cumbria’s answer to the Cannes Film festival. Keswick film festival in Lakeside, Keswick, Cumbria, is back for another year, celebrating all things quirky, strange and beautiful in independent cinema.

This is a fantastic little festival. The event takes place in the gorgeous mountainous surroundings of Keswick- (what could be better), at the same time you will get to watch 30 of the best independent movies of the year, from the UK and around the world. The festival will explore the themes of memory in film, as well as examining the works of several influential women directors.  There is also a look at Jazz in film, which is hotly anticipated to be a great addition to the event. Things will finish off with a selection of award-winning films from prestigious festivals across the globe, such as Berlin, Cannes, Venice and Toronto, this festival is a must see for all fans of celluloid.
