From Thursday the 15th to Sunday the 18th of November, the Kendal Mountain Festival is back. This is a festival for all those who love the great outdoors and boasts a packed programme of talks, films, and live music. Celebrated athletes will be in attendance discussing their favourite running routes. Film makers will discuss how the landscape informs their work and there is even the chance to participate in a 10k run from the town centre to Scout Scar. Don’t miss out on the specialist sessions which include paddle sessions and outdoor swimming. The Snow sports night also marks the beginning of the winter season for all snow-sports enthusiasts in the UK.
The art literature element of the festival is even bigger this year, with book launches and special events catering purely for the kids. There will also be basecamp talks from some leading brands. Kendal Mountain Festival is all about exploring and celebrating the mountains, the wilderness and the culture of both.
Tickets start at £30. For more information head over to the Festival's website
