Kendal Calling

It wouldn’t be summer in the Lakes without this awe-inspiring and impressive little festival. What Kendal Calling may lack in grandiose and established reputation, it makes up for in charm and innovation. Taking place between the 28th and the 31st of July, in Lowther Deer Park, the award winning festival boasts an impressive line-up this year, from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying birds, to Rudimental, this years event offers something for all tastes. Plus, it’s not all about music, there is also cinema, comedy and an extensive range of food and ale stalls, for the foodies amongst you.

Weekend tickets are £140 and Thursday only tickets are still available at £27.00. There are also shuttle bus services to the nearby train station.

One really cool feature of this festival, is the magical Garden of Eden.  The garden is a sanctuary in the festival site for those looking for a little detox time, or who just want to pamper themselves. Head through the vibrant party atmosphere and into the woodlands to discover an area where massage, yoga classes and beauty therapy is readily available.

With comedy heavyweights like Jason Manford and high flying musical acts like Catfish and the Bottlemen, Kendal Calling should not be missed.
