Harrington Kite Festival takes place in Bellaport Marina in Harrington. A fun and quirky family event, the festival is run by international touring company SmileFactor10. SmileFactor10, has an impressive array of kites, including gekkos, octopus, and phoenixes. The company will demonstrate how the kites are made, how best to fly them and how you can get the most out of your kite. There are free kite making workshops over two days; Wednesday the 15th of August at 11 am and 2 pm and
Thursday the 16th of August at 11 am and 2 pm. The workshops will give you all the tools you need to understand how to build your own aerodynamic kite, which will glide perfectly through the ether. The workshops take place at Harrington Youth Club.

In addition to all things kites, the festival also includes a teddy bear zip wire, face painting, and a small funfair.
