What a great event! Here is a unique opportunity to experience a live reenactment of Roman History.
Hadrian's Wall Live is coming to the historic site of Hadrian’s Wall and all those who buy their tickets in time will get the chance to see Roman history brought to life, through unique performance pieces.
The event will include a reenactment of the battle between the Roman army and the Barbarians, culminating in a gladiator show and theatre performances. There will also be a falconry display and a chance for kids to enjoy sword fighting drills, under safety and close supervision.
The battle will commence on a travelling, specially designed venue on which artists and poets will be able to showcase their work.
In an exciting piece of performance art, you can watch Roman soldiers' patrol Housesteads Roman Fort and Hadrian’s Wall by torchlight. Known as the Night Time Patrol, tickets for this event are sold separately.
The event takes place on the 3rd and 4th of September and on the evening of Saturday the 3rd of September, the Night Time Patrol will return to Housesteads Roman Fort.
