Inspired by a true story, Everybody’s Talking about Jamie, is the musical of the moment. It is the story of a working class Sheffield teenager, who overcomes his young adult traumas and societal prejudices, to become an artist in his own right. John McCrea, Josie Walker, Tamsin Carroll, Lucie Shorthouse and Phil Nichol, make up the main cast of this touching and endearing musical. The songs are original numbers written by The Feeling’s Dan Gillespie Sells. Since it moved to the West End in 2016, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, has been thrilling audiences and critics alike.
The musical has been nominated for five Oliver awards and has won two WhatsOnStage Awards. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will be broadcast live from the Apollo Theatre in London’s Shaftesbury Avenue to cinemas nationwide. Tickets cost £15 for adults and £12.50 for children. Fellini’s in Ambleside will screen the film on Thursday the 5th of July at 19:20.
