On Saturday the 29th of September, The University of Cumbria will host Cumbria Pride, a celebration of the LGBT community. The event will include a traditional Pride parade, plus there will be stalls, live music, and a bar. The day will be all about diversity and equality, with a running theme of inclusiveness. Cumbria Pride is a vibrant, carnival of colour and song, perfect for a fun-filled family outing.
The main Pride march, featuring floats from the political to the irreverent, will leave from the civic centre at 11 am and will arrive at the University of Cumbria’s Brampton road at 1.00 pm. This is when the main pride event will start and it will run through to 5 pm.
It’s free entry, but there will be collection buckets throughout the event if attendees want to make a donation to LGBT charities in the local and national areas.
