Battle of Manchester

At the Old Fire Station - One for all you fans of the heady days of Madchester.  Friday, April 27th at the Old fire station in Carlisle is a night celebrating two of the most iconic bands from the Brit-pop era; The Stone Roses and Oasis.

The night will involve two tribute acts;  The Clone Roses and Oaces.  Each of them embodying the swagger and poise of the era of Lad culture.

The Stone Roses were one of the most iconic British bands of the 20th century, but with the band on what seems to be a permanent hiatus, the best chance to hear the hits such as ‘Made of Stone’ and ‘She’s a waterfall’ is by going to see The Clone Roses, the longest serving and best established Roses tribute band. The band has played the Isle of Wight Festival, Shine on Weekender, and “A Tribute to Manchester” headlining to over 2500 at Manchester Academy 1, and to 1700 people at Ulster Hall in Belfast.  They even have a seal of approval from the real deal themselves with bassist Mani describing them as; “The second best Stone Roses in the world”.

As well as The Stone Roses, Oasis will also feature heavily at The Battle of Manchester. Oaces are a tribute to the legendary Oasis. They capture the essence of the Brit-pop legends, with shimmering guitars and gravelly vocals. With all the arrogance of the real-deal, Oaces will take you back to a time when Cool Britannia ruled the waves.

The show takes place on Friday the 27th of April at 19:00 for tickets see The Old Fire Station Website.
