November at The Forum

This month sees the Forum draw some great acts to its stages, for what is set to be another memorable month. First up on the 28th of November, is The Bee Gees musical Jive Talkin’. This is then followed by an evening with former MP and now cultural commentator; Michael Portillo.

On Sat the 28th of November at 19:30, there is a show like no other.  The timeless repertoire of the Bee Gees is brought to life in this stunning stage production that is taking the country by storm.  The West End ensemble cast includes Darren, Gary and Jack Simmons, who will be belting out hits such as Massachusetts and Words and also later anthems such as Night Fever, Stayin' Alive and Tragedy.

Tickets cost £17.00 Full Price, or £16.00 Concessions.

Michael Portillo, a man once tipped to be Prime Minister will also make an appearance at The Forum, later this month. While in office he was often dismissed as nothing more than a privileged member of the landed gentry, incapable of relating to the everyman, he has since leaving office, turned his public image around.

Since leaving the house almost a decade ago, Portillo has carved out a career as something of a TV personality. He has a great love for the National Railways and has presented many documentaries on this subject. He has also explored at length the issues of social justice and the effects of poverty in modern day Britain.

A historian at heart, his fascinating stories will be rounded off with a special Q & A session, during which audience participation is welcomed.

The forum is located at 28 Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA14 1HH.
