Day out at Carlisle United

If you are staying with us during the football season and are a footie fan, why not head down to Brunton Park and watch local team Carlisle United play in League Two.

Manager Keith Curle, is looking to turn around the fortunes of the provincial club.

The team are currently slightly above mid-table in 9th position, 7 points off top placed plymouth.

In 1909, five years after becoming Carlisle United, the club moved to Brunton Park, where they have played ever since.

The stadium has a capacity of 18,202 and comprises both seated and terraced areas. The four stands are known as Main (West) Stand & Paddock, the East Stand, the "Waterworks" Petteril Stand and the Warwick Road End. For the best match day atmosphere, sit in the Warwick Road End, where supporters tend to be a bit more vocal and fired-up.

To purchase your tickets, the best option is always buying them online before the match day. The ticket office is open from 10am to 5pm on weekdays and from 10am to 5.15pm on weekends, including match days.

On match days, the only tickets on sale at the turnstiles will be for the game on that day, but during the rest of the week, tickets can be bought for any scheduled fixture. The ticket office reopens after full time, between 4.45pm and 5.15pm, for general ticket sales.
